SELECTING YOUR countertop edge
Countertop Edges
Once you have selected your countertop material, the next step is choosing your edge profile. This is an important detail that helps define the overall look and style of your countertop(s). The edge is exactly what it sounds like, it refers to how the visible edge of the stone is shaped and finished, including the front edge and any overhang areas.
At Premier Granite & Marble, we offer a wide variety of countertop edge profiles and natural stone edge styles to complement your design. Each edge option adds its own character, from eased or pencil edges to more detailed and decorative profiles such as Bullnose or Ogee.
For your convenience, we have a detailed display in our showroom of all available countertop edges, allowing you to see and compare each profile in person before making your final decision. This makes it easy to choose the perfect finish during your visit or at the time of purchase, ensuring your custom countertops are exactly how you envisioned them. Please know that not all upgraded Edge options are available on all stone types. Please speak with an associate for more details.

Finishes
Once you have selected your countertop material and the edge, the next step is choosing your finish. This is an important design detail that helps define the overall look, feel, and style of your natural stone countertops. The finish refers to how the surface of the stone is treated and completed, affecting both its appearance and texture.
At Premier Granite & Marble, we offer 4 different options of natural stone countertop finishes to complement your design style and the specific stone you choose. Each finish brings its own unique character, from the high-gloss shine of a polished surface to the soft, modern look of a honed finish, or the subtle texture of a leathered finish. The right finish can enhance the natural beauty of the stone while also influencing how it performs in everyday use.
Much like with the edges, in our showroom, we have countertops on display of all available countertop finishes. This allows you to see and feel each option in person, making it easy to compare the differences and decide which best fits your project. It is important to know that not all finishes can be done on all stone or countertop types.
Countertop Finishes
Below is a list of countertop finishes we offer.

Polished Finish
High-gloss, reflective surface
Enhances color, pattern, and veining
Gives a more formal, luxurious look
Honed Finish
Smooth but matte (non-glossy) surface
Popular for modern, contemporary, or casual designs
Shows less shine but can show fingerprints or smudges more easily

Leathered Finish
Textured, soft sheen with a slightly “tactile” feel
Adds depth while maintaining a more natural look
Helps hide fingerprints and water spots
Flamed Finish
Rough, textured surface created by intense heat
Matte (non-glossy) appearance
Provides strong slip resistance
